Thank you for checking out my blog. I first created this blog about a year and a half ago when I launched mattstiefel.com. At the time, I didn't really have the foggiest idea on what to post about. I still don't, but I hope to change that.
This is my first blog entry and hopefully one of many. I hope to write about the things that interest me, my work, hobbies, computers, technology, and anything I feel like commenting on and sharing. I may also from time to time post announcements about my website or talk about the projects i'm currently working on.
I am a freelance web and software developer, as well as a computer and technology enthusiast. I like building computers and I am currently writing this from my Desktop computer that I built in 2008, which has undergone several upgrades since. I work at home and do freelance work for Boomdizzle.com, a hip hop social music website co-founded by LL Cool J. I have also done freelance work for other clients, and have bidded and worked on projects on sites like rentacoder, vworker, and now freelancer.
When I'm not working, I like to game. I have a passion for pc gaming (both classic and modern games) and will often spend some time on Steam playing with friends or with others. I also like the technical aspects of it and I'm hoping to develop some games of my own (at least as a hobby on the side). I do have a few unfinished games I worked on almost a decade or so ago, and I've got some qbasic games I wrote back in the 90s before I learned how to program. I may release some of them on my website.
